Flamecraft Bot Practice Planner
A simple drill sheet for the demo’s three bot difficulties before you host humans.
The Flamecraft demo lets you face bot opponents across three difficulty levels. Use this planner to turn those matches into deliberate practice instead of random clicks. Pair it with Multiplayer for couch etiquette and Solo Mode when you switch to story scenarios.
Before you queue a bot match
Write down one skill focus for the session:
- Gather discipline — only take goods you will spend within two turns.
- Enchant completion — finish one chain before starting another.
- Fire Up timing — refuse to Fire Up with empty processor slots.
- Fancy restraint — hire at most one Fancy Dragon and master it.
Circle the focus on paper or in notes. If you chase all four, the bot match teaches nothing.
Difficulty ladder
- Easiest bot tier — learn UI and shop names from Named Shops.
- Middle tier — enforce your single focus rule above.
- Hardest tier — combine focus with a reputation target from How to Win.
Do not jump to the hardest tier to “feel ready.” Middle-tier consistency beats heroic losses.
Turn block template
Copy this block for each round:
- Planned shop visit: _____
- Gather or Enchant: _____
- Dragon placed / fired: _____
- Goods gained / spent: _____
- Fire Up ready next turn? Y/N
After five turns, compare the sheet with what you actually clicked. Gaps reveal panic gathers—address them with How to Enchant.
Goods tracker
Keep the Resource Checklist beside this planner. Bots punish incomplete enchant payments harder than casual friends who forget to contest you.
Post-match review (five minutes)
Ask:
- Did I honor the single focus?
- Which named shop stalled me?
- Did a Fancy Dragon sit idle?
- Would this plan survive pass-and-play humans?
If humans are next, schedule a teaching game using Demo Walkthrough vocabulary.
Linking bots to achievements
Bot drills build mechanics; lighthouse achievements need solo scenarios. Alternate nights: bot focus → solo achievement attempt from Achievements and Lighthouse Story.
Online queues later
When the full game’s Short, Long, and Custom matchmaking arrives, reuse this planner with “opponent type: human (matchmade)” instead of bot tier. Until then, bots are your densest practice partners inside the demo.
Platform notes
Confirm your demo build on Platforms & Demo. Input comfort tips sit in Controls.
Suggested weekly plan
- Monday: easy bots + shop names.
- Wednesday: mid bots + enchant focus.
- Friday: hard bots or solo achievement push.
- Weekend: local multiplayer with house rules from Multiplayer.
Keep it light
Flamecraft is a cozy game. The planner exists to reduce frustration, not to turn bakery dragons into homework. If a drill stops being fun, drop to an easier tier and reread Beginner Tips.

Sample scorecard
After each bot match, grade yourself 1–5 on Gather discipline, Enchant completion, Fire Up timing, and Fancy usage. Average below 3 on any axis means you repeat that focus next session before changing difficulty. Store the scorecard beside named-shop notes from Named Shops so geography and mechanics improve together.
Teaching others with the planner
When a friend joins mid-week, share your latest scorecard instead of dumping every tip at once. Let them pick one axis to coach you on while you host. That turns the planner into a conversation tool for Multiplayer nights and keeps Flamecraft cozy instead of lecture-heavy.
When to stop drilling bots
If you win three middle-tier matches while holding a single focus, graduate to a solo achievement attempt or a two-player couch game. Endless hard-bot grinding without story or social play misses why Monster Couch built a whimsical town in the first place—celebrate progress on Achievements and Lighthouse Story or How to Win next.
